Does the term root canal make you shudder? It doesn’t have to. Madison Family Dental is staffed with a team of gentle dental professionals who strive to put every patient at ease.
From a welcoming and gentle environment to sedation dentistry for those with dental phobias, we strive to make every appointment as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Dr. Raj is taking on new patients and whether you need a root canal, a teeth cleaning, want teeth whitening, or to replace a missing tooth, we would be happy to help.
Root canals are an alternative to a tooth extraction that involves restoring your tooth. When there’s a deep filling it might seem like the tooth has to go but endodontic treatment involves removing the pulp inside the tooth and eliminating any infection. The tooth is cleaned out, medication inserted, and a temporary filling goes in.
At a subsequent appointment you’ll get your permanent filling and then a crown is placed over top of the tooth to add stability to the tooth. This procedure generally takes a few appointments but can be well worth the results of saving your tooth. Most patients feel little to no discomfort during a root canal.
After your root canal is complete we can also fit your tooth with a crown, which is important for stabilizing the tooth. Crowns are caps that fit over your tooth and they look natural and feel great.
Whether it’s a root canal, a routine dental exam, TMJ treatment, or root planing and scaling for gum disease, we put patient comfort and satisfaction first. Dr. Raj as well as their staff of dental professionals go out of their way to make every appointment relaxing and informative.
You deserve a beautiful and healthy smile and it’s our goal to help you get just that. If you need a root canal, emergency dental appointment, or want a routine check-up, call our office at (615) 455-8663 for an appointment.
